Getech to Explore Africa’s Natural Hydrogen Potential
An agreement between Getech and Leibniz Institute for Applied Geophysics (LIAG), a partner in the HyAfrica consortium, will accelerate the exploration and development of white hydrogen resources in Africa.

 

Natural hydrogen deposits will be sought after in Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, and Togo, while the economic and social impact is assessed, with any findings going on to shape strategic plans for hydrogen as an energy source.

As a world-leading locator of subsurface resources, Getech will support HyAfrica’s research efforts through the three-year project, which is already underway.

Getech’s will contribute to the project though its potential fields data, machine learning capabilities, and market-leading subsurface resource prediction capabilities in the search for natural hydrogen throughout the continent.
